Week 25

Missed a week again, oops!

Fruit/Veggie
Rutabaga (weight)

Size
13 1/2 inches, 1.5 lb

Baby Changes (Source: BabyCenter.com.)
He's beginning to exchange his long, lean look for some baby fat. He's also growing more hair - and if you could see it, you'd be able to discern its color & texture.

Best Moment this Week
Last week, Josh & I were able to go out on a date for our anniversary (a few days late). A date is a rare occasion around here, but there is a lovely girl home from college that Elliot loves being around, so we'll be taking advantage of her this summer for sure! We ate some ribs (mmm, MEAT) & just enjoyed good conversation. It was great!

Gender
BOY! Jack Wesley.

Movement
Jack is starting to ramp up the movement now. He is pretty active at night. The past couple of weeks I had a definite growth spurt (which is why I was cramping) & he moved up (which is nice for my bladder) & is taking advantage of his new found space! He is stretching more, & will occasionally get in some kind of position that hurts... I feel that third trimester coming on!

Food Craving
Cherries! Oh sheesh, they are so expensive. But this week I splurged & have enjoyed them as a daily treat. YUM! I also wanted to make these chocolate chip coconut macaroons that we had every night at our B&B in Maine last month, so I have been enjoying those too.

Sleep
Yep, getting more uncomfortable! The first time I got up last night I could barely move! I was afraid I'd either get stuck or fall over.

What I am looking forward to
This weekend we are staying in town & have a few fun things planned - we have been really busy lately & have traveled the past two weekends, so I am excited to take it easy & relax a bit!

Symptoms
Fatigue (I have been EXHAUSTED lately), back pain.

Courtney - I did not have gestational diabetes. He is just giving me hints to not gain too much weight (not that I did last time). I think it's just part of his normal speech at the first appointment. ;) You're right! It is depressing! Haha!
